Upper-Primary Coordinator

Dear Students, Parents and Guardians,

Congratulations for making it to the end of an entire term of remote learning!

First of all, I would like to thank all our dedicated teachers who have worked very hard to deliver an engaging curriculum as well as support the well-being of our students during these challenging times.

I would also like to thank IDC parents for supporting their child/children during remote learning and making our learning program a successful one. Thank you for your ongoing support and positive communication with the school, the team effort has certainly helped us ensure we give our students the best possible learning experience in these challenging times.

Students adapted very well to remote learning in term three as they were very well practised and prepared. Our dedicated students did a fantastic job of working hard to stay engaged and complete their daily learning tasks. I am very proud of our upper primary pupils.

Unfortunately with the school gates closed we were unable to hold any incursions or excursions. However, we made the best of the worst situation and participated in extra-curriculum activities online. Thank you to everyone for putting in the effort and participating in Crazy Hair/Hat Day and Footy Day.

To end the term, upper primary children participated in a virtual camp. What a memorable day we had! Students were engaged and entertained, showing off cooking and baking skills, preparing their favourite camp lunch, sending messages of support to the community and building blanket forts! Students also participated in team building activities during their Zoom sessions. We all enjoyed each event and had a fantastic time.

Once again, I thank everyone for your patience, understanding and your continued support this year.

I wish everyone a well-deserved, restful break and I look forward to seeing everyone back in term four.

Kind Regards,
Ms Esra Yildirim-Bas
